Camera-counted reps
Every rep has to be fully tracked: elbow straight at the bottom, curled at the top. Half reps don't count.
Recorded and reviewed
Ranked sets are recorded on your phone. Top sets are uploaded privately and checked by a person before anyone wins.

Bicep curl form that counts
Stand tall with your elbows by your sides. Start each rep with the elbow straight, curl the dumbbell toward your shoulder while your upper arm stays still, then lower with control until the elbow is straight again. Swinging the weight or stopping short of a straight arm won't be counted. Pace yourself: a steady rhythm beats a fast start that fades.

How does the Bicep Curl Challenge work?
Each month, Apex One+ members go for the most bicep curls in a single set with 20 lb (9 kg) dumbbells. Your phone camera counts every rep as you go, your best set of the month counts, and the leaderboard updates as soon as a ranked set is saved.
What does the #1 spot win?
For now, the #1 spot each month wins 4 months of Apex One+ free. On a monthly plan the next 4 monthly payments are 100% off; on an annual plan your next renewal moves back 4 months. There is no cash alternative. Cash and prizes for the top 3 come with the full competition, once 10+ members join.
What weight do I need?
One competition weight class: 20 lb (9 kg) dumbbells. You confirm the weight before a ranked set and show your dumbbells to the camera at the start of the recording.
How do you stop cheating?
Every rep must be fully tracked by the camera in a ranked session; partial or untracked reps don't count, sets faster than a human rep cadence are rejected, and there are hourly limits. Ranked sets are recorded, and the top sets are reviewed by a person before the #1 spot is confirmed.
Is my recording public?
No. Only top-10 and personal-best sets are uploaded, privately, for verification. Recordings are deleted after the month is decided, except the verified winner's. The public board shows only the Arena name and flag you choose, and you can hide yourself from public boards.
When does the leaderboard reset?
At 00:00 UTC on the 1st of every month. After the reset, the top sets from the previous month are reviewed in order and the verified #1 is announced on the board.
How do I enter?
Join Apex One+, open the Compete tab and tap “Enter a ranked set”. Prop your phone up so one arm is in view from shoulder to wrist, and go.
