Push-ups, counted by your camera. Only the full ones.
Set your phone on the floor, drop into a plank and go. Apex One counts every full-range push-up out loud, so all you think about is the next rep.

Set up in 20 seconds
- 1Phone at floor level, side-onShoulders to feet in view. Apex One checks it can see you before you start.
- 2Start with straight arms“Start with your arms straight.” Then bend your elbows and lower with control.
- 3Push back up to finishStraighten your arms to complete the rep. The count is spoken instantly.
Push-up form tips
Keep a straight line from shoulders to heels, hands just wider than your shoulders and elbows angled back rather than flared. Lower until your elbows are well bent, then press back to straight arms. If full push-ups are too hard, elevate your hands on a bench and progress from there.
Questions
Can my phone count push-ups?
Yes. Put your phone on the floor beside you, side-on, with your shoulders to feet in view. Apex One tracks your shoulder, elbow, wrist and hip and counts a push-up each time you lower with bent elbows and press back to straight arms.
Does it count half push-ups?
No. A rep only counts when you move through the full range and return to straight arms. If you stop short, the coach says “Bend your elbows a little farther if comfortable, then push up.”
Is there an online push-up counter I can use without an app?
Apex One runs in your phone's web browser at apexfitness.io, so there's nothing to install. You need an Apex One+ membership to train.
Where should I put my phone?
Low and to the side: at floor level, side-on, far enough back that your shoulders, hips and feet stay in view through the whole rep. Decent light helps.
Is my camera video saved?
No. Tracking runs on your device and training video never leaves your phone. Only the count is saved.
